Just back from a fantastic few days in Reykjavik, Iceland. What an amazing place, definitely want to go back. There’s so much to do and see. Hunting for the Northern Lights for 5 hours sitting on a coach (which we didn’t see) wasn’t fun, but this was more than made up by seeing sunrise at the Blue Lagoon. It’s a geothermal pool set in the lava fields of Iceland, -5 outside and 40 in the water, beautiful!
Now is a great time to go, with loads of offers on, and the weaker Kroner means you’ll get more for your money. We went on an excellent value 3 night package with Iceland Air. (No, I’m not on commission by the way!).
The Great Geysir. It was nice to us and spouted promptly every ten minutes.
Hannah and I enjoying the warm 40C waters of the Blue Lagoon. I’ve got pictures of me with a Blue Lagoon silica mud mask on, but those are definitely not being posted here!
Sunset on the flight home. Taken through the plane window at 37000 feet.
