Blendology oneTap Badges for Events & Conferences

I’ve been to a lot of conferences and events, and these name-badges-with-a-difference from Blendology really caught my eye as a great bit of technology (very appropriately I was photographing an event for the Innovation Forum). Instead of handing out business cards or writing notes on scraps of paper that are likely to be lost, delegates can simply tap the badges together and each others’ contact details are stored.

At the end of the event the information is downloaded from the devices and delegates receive one handy email with the contact details of everyone they tapped, clever! They all get returned and re-used for next time too, so none of those plastic wallets and lanyards that you usually get end up in landfill.

Mmmm… Coffee!

I go to a lot of conferences and events. Two of my pet hates are terrible coffee and the huge waste created by bottled mineral water. Wyboston Lakes is bucking the trend with an awesome self-service coffee shop within the Woodlands Event Centre, unlimited and free of charge for attendees. Coffee from bean-to-cup machines, tea, pastries, sandwiches & fresh fruit are all available. They also refill all their own branded bottles with filtered still and sparkling water. I expect well-refreshed delegates will enjoy their day more and be more engaging at your event or conference – a win-win! (All views my own and I have no affiliation with the venue)

The Woodlands Event Centre at Wyboston Lakes is a brilliant venue for conferences and I hope to be back very soon! I really enjoy capturing natural photos of events and conferences and stay as unobtrusive as possible.
