Coming to a pub near you very soon… The tubes hold 8 pints and there’s a tap at the bottom to allow a group to share on a table and pour their own drinks. This job was great fun, but unfortunately as I was driving there was no product testing afterwards!

I had some interesting products to photograph for Multipulse, an electronics and engineering company based in Woking, Surrey. There is a lot of talk in the news of how manufacturing in the UK is declining. It was great to see the high quality of these products, designed, engineered and manufactured right here.

These products are components of flight simulators and train safety systems.

Below – the huge distribution warehouse. The communications systems of the UK’s entire network of 8000 trains are being upgraded, this needs a big space and lots of huge boxes to put the equipment in!

Mmm… Cake!

I bought Hannah a cupcake decorating class for her birthday. Here are the results, very impressive! Firstly I got lots of brownie points for the present and then I got to eat the results, bonus!

Interior Photography | Woodie and Morris, Haslemere

Woodie and Morris is a women’s fashion boutique in Haslemere, Surrey. They sell a brilliant range of clothes, shoes, accessories and beauty products. I’m not a woman, but if I was, I don’t think I would have left the shop without buying loads of stuff!!

They have just had a new website built and needed some interior and product photos. Click here to visit the site, built by the fantastic Redhead Media (who built my site, which I LOVE!). My new photos will be going live very soon.

For the camera geeks amongst you… the starbursts on the lights in this first image are done in-camera, by setting the aperture at f22 (which needed a 3 second exposure at ISO100. The higher the aperture, the more pronounced the effect. I also have a continuous daylight-balanced light to the right and bounced flash set at -2 to add a little fill.

I chose this composition for the symmetry of the floor and walls.

Awesome floor to use as a background for product shots.

Bon Bon Jewellery

Here’s a few photos from a brilliant photoshoot on Friday for Bon Bon Jewellery, who needed some photos of their beautiful handmade jewellery for their new website. It was a huge team effort from Redhead Media (who are designing the new website), Nadine doing hair and makeup and Kirsty our model, and of course Lizzie & Geraldine who had to make all the jewellery for us to photograph.

After months of waiting, I’m pleased to announce the arrival of something very new and exciting… I finally have an iPhone! It’s beautiful, even the box is gorgeous.

Walking With Dinosaurs

I had loads of fun playing around with cuddly toys and flashing things for the new Walking With Dinosaurs Tour (coming to an arena near you this July/August). The wearable dinosaur tail was a particular favourite! I photographed all the merchandise for the online shop. As much as I love photographing people, it is sometimes nice to have subjects that don’t move. I can spend all the time I want setting up my lighting and don’t have to worry about expressions or blinks!
