Coming to a pub near you very soon… The tubes hold 8 pints and there’s a tap at the bottom to allow a group to share on a table and pour their own drinks. This job was great fun, but unfortunately as I was driving there was no product testing afterwards!

Commercial Photographer Surrey – Multipulse Product Photos

I had some interesting products to photograph for Multipulse, an electronics and engineering company based in Woking, Surrey. There is a lot of talk in the news of how manufacturing in the UK is declining. It was great to see the high quality of these products, designed, engineered and manufactured right here.

These products are components of flight simulators and train safety systems.

Below – the huge distribution warehouse. The communications systems of the UK’s entire network of 8000 trains are being upgraded, this needs a big space and lots of huge boxes to put the equipment in!

Interior Photography | Woodie and Morris, Haslemere

Woodie and Morris is a women’s fashion boutique in Haslemere, Surrey. They sell a brilliant range of clothes, shoes, accessories and beauty products. I’m not a woman, but if I was, I don’t think I would have left the shop without buying loads of stuff!!

They have just had a new website built and needed some interior and product photos. Click here to visit the site, built by the fantastic Redhead Media (who built my site, which I LOVE!). My new photos will be going live very soon.

For the camera geeks amongst you… the starbursts on the lights in this first image are done in-camera, by setting the aperture at f22 (which needed a 3 second exposure at ISO100. The higher the aperture, the more pronounced the effect. I also have a continuous daylight-balanced light to the right and bounced flash set at -2 to add a little fill.

I chose this composition for the symmetry of the floor and walls.

Awesome floor to use as a background for product shots.

Warwick Castle at Night

I recently photographed Naomi and Barry’s fantastic wedding at the awesome venue of Warwick Castle. They haven’t seen all their photos yet so I’ll blog more soon, but had to share this one asap!

Taken on my sturdy Manfrotto tripod, this is a reallllly long exposure of 25 seconds. You can see the blur of the flag waving in the wind, and also some stars if you look carefully.

Bon Bon Jewellery

Here’s a few photos from a brilliant photoshoot on Friday for Bon Bon Jewellery, who needed some photos of their beautiful handmade jewellery for their new website. It was a huge team effort from Redhead Media (who are designing the new website), Nadine doing hair and makeup and Kirsty our model, and of course Lizzie & Geraldine who had to make all the jewellery for us to photograph.

Had a brilliant day in the studio today, shooting products for a magazine ad. Lots of great stuff, here’s my favourites.

And here’s a photo of the studio setup and me in action! For the photos above, I placed one of the lights underneath the table to create a pool of light round the base of the product and to highlight the details of the bottle.

Eagle Radio Guildford

I took these presenter photos for Eagle Radio in Guildford a while ago. You may have walked past them many times at the top of Guildford High Street, they’re huge! (see the person walking at the bottom of the photo for scale). I finally took this photo of them ‘in situ’ as I have been meaning to for ages. So, next time you’re in town, have a look now you know who took them!
