Had a brilliant night at the Troubadour in Earl’s Court last night. Went to see Julia Johnson, what a beautiful voice! Tall Dark Friend and Vin Goodwin were also playing, both also really good.

Festibelly 2009

Had a fantastic time at Festibelly, a small festival in the beautiful New Forest countryside. Very relaxed atmosphere and great variety of music, looking forward to next year! Laura Case Trust

I love capturing the light and atmosphere at gigs. It was fantastic to be able to help this very worthwhile cause. The Laura Case Trust does excellent work in the UK and in Africa. The fundraiser gig was an excellent mixture of live music & comedy from Bridgette Amofah, Alex Ingram Hill, The Crimson Dixies, Idiots of Ants, Brett Goldstein & Lady Garden, compared by Sarah Campbell.

The Operators Band

It was brilliant to see school mate Charlie and his band the Operators at Barfly in Camden. They have got some excellent, catchy songs, especially Just My Way and B Line (recently played on Jo Whiley’s Radio 1 show).

The Operators are: Owen Taylor – Vocals, John Stevens – Bass/Backing Vocals, Charlie Westropp – Synths/Guitar & Ben Athey – Drums.

James’ set at the Troubadour was brilliant as usual. His music is an awesome blend of folk, electronica and dance.
