4 July, 2012 - 10:28 Ian - Thanks Vinny! I took this on manual exposure. I take a light reading from the grass in front of the couple as a starting point and then adjust if it is slightly too light/dark. If your camera doesn't have manual mode, it should have a button that says "AE Lock'. If you hold the camera down with the grass filling most of the frame and press this button it will 'Lock' the exposure. You can then recompose the picture and press the shutter.
